Afternoon session: 12.30pm – 5.30pm or 1.00pm-6.00pm
The nursery is closed on all Bank holidays. We are also closed between Christmas and the New Year period. We have two training days per year when we are closed, these are usually one day in February and the second day is in October.
Nursery fees are calculated over 51 weeks to allow for 12 equal payments with no charge for the Christmas holidays or the two training days.
A booking fee is required to secure a place at nursery. Fees are payable monthly in advance by standing order/bank transfer.
All meals are provided and cooked on the premises by our qualified chefs. Allergies and other dietary needs can be catered for.
For 2 year old funded hours we do not request any charge. For three and four year old funded hours we request a small consumables charge as the cost of providing the education is significantly more than the amount we receive. If you feel as if you are unable to pay this, please talk to one of our managers about potential alternative solutions.
7.30am-6.00pm Monday to Friday, year round except for the Christmas to New Year period.
Our half days are 5 hours and our full days are 10 hours.
We receive funding for 38 weeks of the year (term time) with 15 hours for some two year olds, 15 hours for all three and four year olds and an additional 15 hours for some three and four year olds. We prefer to stretch this funding to the entire year – giving 10/11 hours for 15 hours (depending on start date), and 20/22 hours for the 30 hours (depending on start date).
No, it is the same number of total hours, just over more weeks.
We find children settle better attending every week rather than having long breaks. However, we do offer a limited number of term-time only places.
Yes, we are registered to the Tax-Free Childcare scheme.
All staff are either at minimum level 3 qualified or working towards it. They also all have paediatric first aid and have an enhanced DBS (police) check.
Yes, we provide 3 meals a day and food is prepared by a chef. We can provide for dietary requirements and allergies (vegetarian, dairy free, coeliac etc). Our meals are specially designed to meet nutritional needs for growing children whilst still serving them food they will enjoy! Our menus are available by request and are also posted on the nursery noticeboards.
For 0-2 year olds a maximum of 1:3, 2-3 year olds a maximum of 1:4 and for 3-5 year olds a maximum of 1:8. These ratios are a maximum and are also adhered to over lunch periods. We always aim to have a higher number of staff than this where possible.
No, we prefer to give consistency to the children and do not use unfamiliar staff.
Yes, we follow the EYFS and all children have their own key person and their own secure learning journals on the Famly app.
No, it is free for you and lets you see the amazing things your child has been up to and their progress! It also allows you to send us messages.
Yes, we take safeguarding very seriously. We have secure door entry systems and unknown people are not allowed onto the premises.
We request that fees are clear by the 1st day of every month.
For those starting or upping their hours, we will fit you in as soon as there is space. For those withdrawing their children or reducing their hours, please note that we require written notice four weeks in advance.
Yes, we do a minimum of 3 settling in visits to allow your child to feel comfortable and happy in the setting! These are covered by the booking fee.
